Domingo, eu e meu marido assistimos em casa o filme Até o Último Homem. A princípio eu já pensava em escrever uma resenha sobre essa produção aqui, mas uma cena saltou aos meus olhos e gostaria de fazer uma crítica a essa obra em outro momento, agora pretendo falar sobre a identificação que tive com a rotina do soldado Desmond e a maternidade.
Desmond T. Doss (Abdrew Garfield) é um soldado que em plena guerra se recusa a pegar em uma arma devido a um trauma de infância e por sua devoção a Deus. Durante a Batalha de Okinawa, Doss vai para a luta com os demais colegas como médico e cumprindo sua promessa não mata ninguém e ainda salva mais de 75 homens de forma heroica.
No momento mais emocionante do filme, Desmond no auge do seu cansaço continua salvando os homens feridos na guerra, quando todos os outros já foram embora, ele continua sozinho resgatando seus colegas e a cada vez que sua exaustão tentava falar mais alto ele orava a Deus dizendo: “só mais um, Senhor. Me ajude a salvar mais um”. De um em um foram muitos os salvos.
Foi essa determinação e amor pelo próximo que fez a minha mente comparar imediatamente o filme Até o Último Homem com a maternidade. Nós, mães, temos o ato heroico de todos os dias vencer um cansaço enorme para cumprir os afazeres diários.
No período de amamentação, a mãe enfrenta dores nos primeiros dias (algumas mulheres sofrem por meses para que a amamentação aconteça de forma prazerosa), mas ainda assim ela se doa completamente. O bebê pede o calor do seu peito e ela de alguma forma vence o medo da dor, sua frio, mas se doa… Complementando com fórmula ou não, “desistindo” ou não de amamentar, as mães negam a si mesmas por tamanho amor e compreensão da necessidade que seu filho tem dos seus cuidados.
Enfrentando dia após dia uma rotina extremamente cansativa, a maternidade faz com que a mulher abra mão do seu descanso para atender seu bebê que não dorme ou que de tempo em tempo lhe chama… Essa rotina se inicia com o nascimento do bebê e não se sabe quando será que uma noite de sono tranquila acontecerá novamente.
O puerpério que chega como uma mistura de tristeza e alegria, medo e coragem, faz a mãe guerreira ultrapassar todos os limites que certamente ela nunca pensou que seria capaz de vencer. Vence os dias de UTI neo natal, os primeiros dias de deixar seu bebê na creche, a renuncia de se dedicar por um período da vida ou talvez pra sempre da carreira que tanto ama… Os passeios com as amigas são trocados por roteiros infantis.
Um amor a um próximo que saiu da sua barriga ou coração, que faz com que essa mãe ultrapasse seus próprios limites, investindo em alguém que não sabe como será no futuro, mas que ela faz questão de se dedicar ao máximo para que, se depender dela, esse serzinho terá uma vida maravilhosa, contribuindo para um mundo bem melhor.
